interesting vid. nuclear is a political nightmare and when politicians are given decisions they no eff all about it's going to cost tax payers money. case in point hinckley c, it's way over budget (£25bn+) and the strike price was criminally negotiated (One analyst at Liberium Capital described the strike price as 'economically insane' in October 2013: "as far as we can see this makes Hinkley Point the most expensive power station in the world).

add to that the fact the the uk has no engineers to build it so relies on the french (who we've just pissed off a lot) and the chinese (who we've just pissed off massively)
