My free time is very limited so I’m washing one load of laundry while drying another.  I cannot wait for a system to decide when to start the drying process because the drying needs to finish before the next load of washing is done.  Even for the last load, you need to be around when it completes because if you don’t take the clothes out right away, they will all be wrinkled and then require ironing which is even more work and more energy.

Being 3-phase, that requires all your electronics to work at 208V instead of 240V.  Many commercial buildings and some apartment complexes are using 3-phase and they discovered it takes longer to heat up water and takes longer to cook because the heating elements don’t get as hot.

Poor you. I agree it's inconceivable to expect people to change their life-styles - or indeed propose any solutions. The only logical way out is to carry on f*cking up the planet.

I don’t care what other people are doing and only care about my own schedule and things that I need to do.  I have the same 24 hours in a day to get things done as everyone else and a boatload of items on the to-do list.  I don’t give a flip about my neighbor and if they are washing clothes at the same time as me.  I’ll wash mine when I’m able and the electric service better be there when I need it or I’ll power up a gas generator to get the job done.

We're all in the same boat, matey. The rest of the crew have realised you're being a tad selfish by continuing to burn the decking in order to heat bathwater that only you will use.

So when your Florida condo disappears beneath the rising tides, will you finally join the dots?

I mean you're obviously a horrible, entitled, sheltered human being, but in the midst of your egotistical tantrums lies a salient point... if we can't incentivise other utter cunts like yourself to behave in a sociable, ethical way, it's never going to work.
